F.A.Q.

faqQ: Will I own the equipment?

A: Yes, once the system is installed on your premises and paid for it belongs to you.  You are free to have any alarm company monitor your system – we do not “lock-out” that ability as some alarm companies may do.  We also do not have you sign a long term contract but merely ask that you give us a 30 day notice to disconnect.

Our goal is quite simple as the “Next Generation” alarm company: we offer real security at fair prices and provide first rate service using the latest technologies.

Q: How much will it cost me?

A: We have different packages to offer ranging from $299 and up.  The basic monthly monitoring charge is $16.95.  Systems by Crane also has financing and leasing terms available as well as convenient payment methods.

Q: What if I have an existing system?

A: Unfortunately not all alarm systems are able to be taken over because some companies feel it necessary to “lock-out” that ability, therefore leaving you with no option but to stick with the existing company and pay whatever charges they want or change out the majority of the system or (and here is the “kicker”) allows them to match our prices!  Be sure to ask any alarm company that you decide to go with if they use “proprietary” (equipment that only they can work on) equipment or “lock-out” the system programming?
We can determine easily enough if your system can be changed over and there will be no charge to change your equipment over to Systems by Crane.

Q: How long will the installation take?

A: It depends on whether you decide to go with the wireless or hard-wired option and how many devices are being installed.  Typically speaking a wireless system on average will take approximately 2-3 hours maximum and a hard-wired system should take around 6 to 8 hours depending on how big your house is and how many levels there are or if it has already been pre-wired for security.

We do offer Saturday appointments.  We try to make it as convenient as possible.
